    Last minute solo motocamping

My very first bike ride longer than a day trip, was a 10 day, solo motocamping trip down to Alabama/Mississippi to stay at the Barber Museum for the Vintage bike fest. Asides from booking my tent spot at Barber Museum, almost the entire trip was sorted out in the 2 weeks before I left. For my...

    Two Wheel Motorsports - Guelph

They have some mixed styles of Olympia jackets but nothing Joe Rocket that I see and also don’t see any heated gear whatsoever and asked the desk and they said they don’t sell heated gear. Found 2 nice helmets for my wife and both fit her - Scorpion EXO ST1400 Carbon and an HJC I91 modular.

Need suggestion for ON/QC Destination for a 4-6 day basecamp with day rides.

I thought the roads going in and out of that park were really nice, especially on the western side. I also thought the park was much better going east to west than vice versa… and we were moving at a very good clip:) But overall, I agree - max 3 days of riding that way. The guy I’m going with...

Need suggestion for ON/QC Destination for a 4-6 day basecamp with day rides.

I’m doing this very same thing next week with a buddy. Currently looking at setting up camp between Barry’s Bay and Pembroke, since that can allow us to explore that region a bit and also easily scoot into Quebec. Another area that has nice roads is near La Mauricie National Park, but not sure...

Thanks guys and what a great day to be riding. If anything I would get a new helmet for my wife and she's a small or XS. Looking at getting her a GT Air or a Neotec.

    2026 Weekly BurgeRR Meetup - Wednesdays @7pm

I'm down! And even though the rain screwed the burger night tonight (and I was riding home from work in the storm), when I got home, someone on FB was selling some sweet speakers for a steal of a deal and I grabbed them. If I was stuffing my face with burgers, I wouldn't have scored this tonight:)

Thanks for this - that looks like a sweet spot to base out of and I could do some pretty great loops to the north.

I was looking at that whole southern area of NS and it looked pretty interesting. 2 days there, a few days riding around and 2 days back could make for a fun trip. Thanks!

I work very hard for my money, so I prefer to spend it wisely.

The last little bit around Natashquan was surprisingly hilly and twisty with flawless pavement. Overall I thought it was a remarkable ride out that way.

Thanks - did most of that 2 years ago except the ferry south from Baie Comeau. I loved going to the end of the 138 and up to Manic Cinq. That was a dream bike trip for about 15 years and it didn’t disappoint. Maybe some whale watching boat tours would be pretty cool.

I do love that stuff, but I suck at gravel and tend to drop my bikes fairly often, so at least for the next couple years I’m doing the street bike thing. I’ll buy a t7 or something like that down the road:)

Have roughly a week to ride somewhere at the end of August and undecided where to go. Scenic and hopefully twisty roads are part of the plan. Camping or motels - I'm fine with both. Not looking for much gravel, and a distance of anywhere between 4000-7000km is doable. Thought about James Bay...

    2026 Rides

Nice trip - and sorry to hear about the tire. That's a sweet collection of bikes too. And I know I've missed the turn off at 508 once or twice and ended up on that dirt road too - it comes up quick if you're not paying attention. Oh and I think a portion of 16/South Lavant Rd is still under...
