Depreciation is high on Guzzis, but that shouldn't be a concern if one is in it for the long haul. I reckon this is mainly because of a sparse dealer network. The V85 is no less reliable than any other brand, in my experience. Easy to work on yourself, thus inexpensive to own. Shaft drive, no messy chain to adjust; screw and locknut valve adjustments, no annoying valve shims requiring removal of the camshaft. And just the right amount of oddball.

FWIW, I get all my KTM parts within a week ordering from Canadian dealers. My Ducati parts also arrive in about the same time when ordering from Europe directly, and that's for my 24-year-old bike (for the parts that are still in production). But Aprilia - forget it...

No doubt they`re a beautiful bike, are they reliable or "Italian reliable"? The only Guzzi I ever rode was the `76 850 Le Mans, one of the best looking machines ever.
