I also did a thing!

I've found a small version of the wooden bead set up cabbies use worked very well. Good air flow and pressure points changing all the time.

I put the palm rest onto the throttle grip, which I had on the vStrom. Seems to have made a bit of a difference.
I could never get that thing to stick and would love to have had type of rest when riding out to Barry’s Bay.

Used to be able to buy grips with that paddle thing as part of the grip, maybe still can. They were OK on forever long straights but found `em to be a PITA mostly elsewhere. Ever ride a real early CB750 with a separate cable to each of the 4 carbs?,.... there was a workout.

Are you guys talking about a throttle rocker?

Love them! Put them on every single bike we've owned or rented.

Genuine throttle rockers come with a rubber loop that you wrap over the end of the handlebar and between the rocker and the grip. This keeps it from slipping off when in use.

I’ve used the throttle rocker and didn’t really like it, found a few times my jacket cuff would get caught on it

The one I mentioned looked like a kinda` shark fin on the grip end. That was mid 70`s or so, what you have pictured probably works better.

Yes something like that (I have amazon knock off). Seems to be helping. Might look for a better version, I feel it will break on me at any moment.

Made some adjustments to the bike, to smooth out some rough edges.
The clutch handle had too much slack, sometimes it felt like I was popping the clutch.
Next was the throttle response, the default was "Tour" mode, which in lower gears was quiet jerky, like waaay too much torque. Using "Urban" mode helped smooth all this out. I was worried about this, but glad it was a easy adjustment. (y)

I also put a Cramp Buster on every bike I ever get. Different make to the Throttle Locker above but same concept. Aliexpress has them too but generally for smaller grips.

And yeah they usually come with a rubber band that goes on first ... if not, just cut a strip off a skinny tired bicycle inner-tube.
