They let the office crack head manage the Weather Network forecast today

I drove to Kitchener for Easter dinner , through a few snow squalls. God does not favour KW right now.

Weather was crazy today. Flurries for few minutes, then overcast for 30 min, then few showers, another 30 min overcast, followed by some sun, then small snow pellets. Rinse and repeat.

Fortunately, between the breaks I was able to get this thicc girl clean. She was filthy as I've riding her almost daily rain or shine.

Strange day indeed, weather wise.

Hahahaha and exactly why I no longer spend winters here. I no longer ski, I no longer ride to and from the motorcycle shop all winter in Montreal where we had real winters (this ain't the GTA) and I no longer ride on the ice with studs going around in ovals.

March 2025, four days after I left the Gold Coast when a cyclone hit for the first time in 50 years. Cyclones never make it down that far from Cairns in the north and weaken by the time it gets to Brisbane, 80 kms north of the Gold Coast. Watch that first step...it is a doozy!

Anyone young enough to move and who is able to work, should go to Australia as long as you can live under British rule where they and Canada bow to King Charles (I went to school in Ireland so that might explain the British rule thing). The politics are too similar to Canada's but the weather is 100% great. Cars last and you can ride all year.

I have a slew of friends there and they are all just like those up in Walkabout Creek with a great sense of humour. And if you have a Dan Murphy's discount card, James Boag's Premium beer (in bottles) is damn good; you'll need it when it gets hot.

Next year, I am going for 4+ months instead of the usual three months. Winter can pi$$ off!

The only thing that worries me about Australia is humans are no longer the top of the food chain. Spiders, snakes, sharks. Land or water, there are deadly creatures everywhere! 😂

Drove from Markham to Timmins yesterday. Snow was all but gone south of Engelhart. Still 2’ on my lawn, that’s down from 6’ last week.

The snow melted in front of my garage so I can get the Vstrom out. Roads are wet and messy from winter sanding - not ideal for riding yet. Planning my first ride 7 days from now, Timmins to Markham, good thing the highways are clean.

Yeah but when is the last time you saw a Grizzly bear or a moose charging you in Canada?

Nine years there, I have yet to see anything that can kill me.

The comprise my wife and I have is living in NZ. Not that Australia is a bad palace. It’s amazing actually. But dreams of relocating, New Zealand would be our pick. If funds were not a concern.

Back to weather! Seems like a beauty today!
