The Bad Drivers of Ontario Thread

I've seen my fair share of indecisive squirrels run out on the road in front of me (the roads of the World are paved with them), but never a ferret.

Is there a thread on bad pedestrians?

Wednesday I was heading west on Eglington in the cage and came to a stop in the curb lane. To my left was a snub nose cube van stopped well over the stop line.

The light turned green and just as I started to accelerate three giggling teen princesses emerged from out of sight into my path. I hit the brakes and no harm done. Enjoy our nanny state.
There are rarely tickets given to bad pedestrians. If you hit a pedestrian who is breaking the law, chances are your insurance will pay out even if you are 100% faultless.

Lots of blame to go around here. Nobody looking far enough ahead. It looks like one brain dead driver stopped in a live lane for no reason. I don't know whether to congratulate the truck driver for not killing them or if that would have done us a favor.

Speeding, open beer and... a shotgun!

Can someone explain to me the reason for the hose clamps?

A quick search shows me that it's a Winchester SXP shotgun. The pipe clamp further to the front would likely be because it's missing the magazine cap. I guess the owner jerry-rigged a replacement. I would guess the second is because the bracket between the barrel and the mag is cracked. If not then it could have been police making it safe, because that bracket clamp looks like it might be too far back for the pump to completely slide forward.

Tractor trailer at OnRoute tonight. Driving the wrong direction and trying to go down a no-truck route. Didn't fit so backed up for more speed as that's the obvious solution. Smashed some stuff and got stuck.

One serious speed bump.

Who owns the trailer with their name besmirched? Who owns the tractor? Who is the driver?

I'm assuming it's private property so no HTA charges. The lift / tow won't be cheap. Anything broken?

Driver got some charges. Surprisingly, not from Brampton.

"A 31 year old male driver from Saskatchewan was charged with:
Failure to carry a CVOR
Careless Driving"

From what I recall OnRoute locations are Provincially owned and the residents contract to run it for them. Mess up the signs and that's damage to government property.

Looks like one of the St. Onges' trailers (+truck?) out of Niagara. The brothers went to my HS. If it's theirs, (and I'm sure it is) one of the brothers was killed in an accident in his rig on the QEW 93ish. Ironically, he hit one of my coworkers in his Caterham Super 7.

25 minutes of carnage and abject stupidity (sick rail grind @ 6:45). I never have thought much of the risk of getting hit by a transport while driving on the highway in the past, even with having a "close to home" example when a coworker was hit by one in his Caterham on the QEW, but it's starting to creep into the back of the mind more and more. I'm back and forth to Niagara a lot and the QEW is the Quick 'n Easy Way (obviously), but I'm now starting to think Mud->Victoria->20->58 may be a more prudent choice going forward.

Lost yer air? No worries. Piggyback off yer buddy's aux quick connect. Problem solved!

The only real surprise in this video is that there aren't more Swift trucks involved.
