Stolen bike registry

It still can't beat my tracking device hidden inside the frame of my bike. I will be pounding the thief's door within 30 mins of being stolen.
It will help in some cases but jammers are easily available that block almost everything. Obviously they're illegal but so is stealing bikes. If the thieves aren't morons, flip the jammer on and leave it on until bike is rendered safe (either swept or put in a faraday cage).

Only 1 out of 5 thieves would go through this trouble, I have 2 trackers, one in a place where they can easily find it and the other one in a hard-to-find place. The idea is that when they find the easy one they will let their guard down. Do these jammers block cellphone signal? Because one is a Samsung SmartTag.

You can easily jam cell phones, bluetooth, gps, wifi and pretty much every common frequency in a single device. Conceivably you could jam all frequencies but that wastes a ton of space and power as most of the frequencies are not doing things you care about. Samsung smarttag uses bluetooth LE which can be blocked and to transmit the location, it needs to connect to a phone/tablet which could also be blocked.

There are workers making repairs to the underground parking. I suspect that's where someone got eyes on it (was under a tarp) and perhaps knew someone to call to steal it. Should've been smarter about it and rented some space while the workers were here, but hindsight 20/20 and all that. Right before the riding season too.

This isn't me, it just a random fb post. Be safe out there. First armed bike jacking I have heard of in gta.

The post is lacking in details, so I'm wary of making assumptions about the theft. Was it 2 guys who had a gun who stole it while someone saw it from cameras or a window? Was it an altercation where someone confronted the thieves and a firearm was pulled? Was it a case of armed robbery in broad daylight? Was it under the guise of buying the motorcycle and then he was robbed?

Regardless, it's pretty ******, and I hope it's found, but the chances of it being in a container are quite high. :(

Wow. What's next the KLRs?

'Buddy had his KLR stolen out of his driveway in Guelph a few years ago...

'Gets a call from his local police two years later... OPP raided a meth lab on a farm out Stratford way. Inventory included the stolen KLR.
Bike was trashed, but he paid the impound fees anyway and it served as a parts bike.
