Hello, My name is Brant Boshart and I've ridden bike for about 28 years. I joined this form on suggestion now that people have moved off Kijiji, largely. I find many indivduals who message you on facebook marketplace lack basic dignity or repect when engaging strangers online.

I am ethustastic about sharing the skill and in the last few years have gotten several friends either back on the road or their first license and motorcycle. Big believer in skill, training and mastery.

Currently learning to ride dirt bike offroad.
My Suzkuki DRZ 400sm was just stolen July 29th ( having moved to Toronto for 2 weeks) in a big operation that likley some other people here were hit by as well.

Current Street Bikes:
  • Suzuki SV1000S – 2008
  • KTM Duke 200 – 2020
Dirt/Off-Road:
  • Suzuki DR-Z 200
  • Honda CRF 230

Storage:
  • Kawasaki KLR 650 – 2004
  • Kawasaki Ninja 500 – 2005

I’m also looking to sell some bikes to real riders and get more info on local training and across north amercia.
I am an active Riders-share.com member and have suggestions for rental bikes in NYC, Boston, LA, Vegas and Palm Springs.

Welcome to GTAM Brant.

Welcome to the forum, let us know what you're looking at selling...thx

Welcome to the forum! Unfortunately, I know someone who (also a member here) had their DRZ stolen a few months back as well.

I'd be curious to hear about your experience on KTM Duke 200. It's a bike I have ridden a lot in the past, but in a different country. I don't think I have come across anyone who owns a Duke 200 here.

Welcome! Curious where did you move from?

Yeah Facebook can be a cesspool of scum and scams.

Welcome
Can you do a review on the KTM 200?

Welcome from down under. Nice mix of light weight bikes that I prefer as well.
  • Honda CRF 230
Have you watched Itchy Boots destroy hers on the Kalahari 700? That little beast took a lot of punishment leading up to that ride.

Welcome

Not sure if you're asking me or the OP. I'm almost sure it's the OP but I'll share my 2 cents. It's an exciting bike from what I remember (2017-2018). Pretty nimble and had enough power to keep me interested. And when I wanted to get away from the traffic, just roll on the throttle and the thing takes off. Really can't think of any cons for that bike...The thing sold like hot cakes when it came out especially popular among university going crowd and squids (in India), which kind of ruined the reputation of the bike.

Welcome to GTAM, Brant. I'm sorry about your motorcycle. I had my 2017 DR-Z400SM stolen in late March, so I feel for you. I think there's a Classifieds section here, but would also recommend you also post on Kijiji and Marketplace (as much as it's a pain in the butt).
