"Fantastic 4: First Steps" - Really good for this old comic book collector from back in the '70s. They do the Galactis story with a few twists from later versions, and without being slavish to the original. The production esthetic is the 1970s, as predicted by the 1960s. Well worth seeing. I culd have waited for it to come out on D+, but was hoping that it was as good as it was. I say it in a standard theatre. No 3D. No IMAX. No shaking bloody seats. Felt like the right venue for this film.

Did a re-watch of the classic Superman movie:

They really had a different way of telling stories back then. It's still is great, some stuff looks dated, 3rd act is a bit rough, but excellent performances, scenes flowed well. It's a 2 1/2 hr movie that didn't feel that long.

Mocking Jay Trilogy ….Third movie ….

What a cast

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 (2015) - Full cast & crew - IMDb

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 (2015) - Cast and crew credits, including actors, actresses, directors, writers and more.

Quite the talent pool they attracted….Margery from GofT, Amos from the Expanse, Josh from Tarabitha, Liam Hemsworth, Julianne Moore, Philip Seymour Hoffman… what a loss he is and Donald Sutherland …what a career, so many others.

Forgotten the scale of the series. ....quite spectacular.

Was hoping for Master and Commander but not available on the TV

Might have seen this but looks good.
I hadn't seen it and it was very good.

Has anyone seen Greyhound? I've seen clips here and there and waited for it to hit Prime/Netflix but I see it was an Apple thing so I forgot about it. Worth a watch if I can find a source (I don't have Appletv)?

It's excellent...PM me if you need a streaming site .

Felt Greyhound was just OK. I love war movies, especially WWII one's but this one just seemed too short and without much in character development.

Currently halfway through Warfare on Prime and it's good.

Cooked up some special brownies and watched Walt Disney's Fantasia last night.
85 years old and still beats the shootem up crap they put out today!

Mostly cuz of the music which is not due to Disney ....the animation for the time was excellent and some are still magical like the Sorcers Apprentice....some dated.
A bit of chemical help perhaps helps. :coffee:
Studio Ghibli is still in the business of offering animated magic

I just watched the GenCon pre-release version of the last film in the "Gamers" series, "The Gamers: Dorkness Falls." Projected release date is Spring of next year. Even with a bunch of effects missing and it still being in need of some audio balancing, I loved it. Except for one thing. This guy can't act:
