It's a roller skate key from the 50's.I'm guessing it's for a clock.

Yes. It does. It came with this 1891 machine.Looks like a fid that boaters use to splice rope.

The spring-loaded mechanism is used to house a set of tweezers/tongs that come out to help you with "fid"dly pieces of rope or twine.
Spark plug wrench.Here's a recent addition. Not needed often.
