Recent movies you saw - recommend or no

So bad...so very very bad...yet I watched the whole thing.

Yeah, I just finished it last night after 3 attempts to watch it and ending up falling asleep. It's sooooo slooooow. I still fell asleep three time last night, but kept rewinding it to get through it. If it had been a little faster pace, the end would have been worth getting to.

Love Hurts was OK as an action comedy. Something along the lines of a Jackie Chan Hollywood movie. The best part was realizing afterwards who the actor is/was, as I thought he looked familiar.

Been meaning to watch this for a while

Well why not ...I like musicals and managed to convince my ailing 4k to work

wasn't sure of this but quite the ending....4k Samsung working for now - known issue with the dynamic settings. 🤷‍♂️

Never have seen Zoolander ...not my cuppa
Geek alert :sneaky:

I wish Secrets of the Dead were still being produced. They were superb.

No F1 and gave up on The Great Alone tho may go back.....will catch F1 but cold still lurking.

Enjoying this full movie…less than an hour.
ABBA - The Super Troupe
Interesting their personal breakups were driving the later music like Fleetwood Mac experienced

Picked up some nature and science Blu Ray - not 4k but cheap and just watched one on my revived Samsung ,..
Upscaling was very satisfying at 3 meters away.
Here is the full vid

I went and saw 28 Years Later on Saturday. Great movie, love the story and the world they have built on from the first 2 movies. There are supposedly 2 more movies coming out, the next in January. The movie looks amazing and sounds amazing, really love love this director and what he brings to the screen. Not a complex story, but believable for the world that was created. If you like the original movie this is a worthy sequel.

Gave Thunderbolts a shot, I actually kinda made it almost to the end. Somewhere mid way I dozed off, then watched a bit more, but stopped someplace in the 3rd act. Not sure if I will finish it, can't see what I'll miss if I don't. Meh.
Surprisingly Julia Louis character was the most interesting to me.

Gave that one a go on Saturday. It was exactly what I was expecting and thoroughly disliked the movie. I won't give any spoilers but despised the ending and when things could simply be solved by people just speaking the truth and not looking like a deer in headlights. I am going to give that Iron Heart show a watch, not because I am looking for quality TV but because of how absolutely horrible it looks. I will put it on the same shelf as Steven Seagall movies, so bad they are funny.

For the movie buffs - this is in three parts that will play in sequence and increased my respect for what Michael Mann et al created

One of my all time fav movies, cast, director and score
Stowe is gorgeous
Well worth watching the three parts (y)

good fit with the 911 book I just finished and I like Hemsworth

Nother one for the film buffs
and another

Can't beleive how good that film still looks

Nother film buff explanation
guess I will haul out the 4k BR version tonight and see how it is on the new TV

I recall seeing this in 70mm screen when it first was remastered....thought I could reach in and pick up sand from the desert it was that immersive.
Not sure there are any 70mm theaters left :(
