Nope, no gravel all the way up to Chapleau, but do look out for moose as a couple of them crossed the road when I went through there. Sure do. This is on 129 heading to Chapleau. A glimpse of lake Superior, southbound on 17 to Sault Ste Marie.

Was just there yesterday; didn't even notice there was a gas station on that route. I didn't know there is a town at the end of the road, took a look around and left. Nice place if you want peace and quiet.

Just got back from this trip. 129 is good, especially the southern part (smooth) but overall it's pretty quiet all the way up to Chapleau.
