Not as exciting as @Gaoler , I changed the front suspension fluid. Some Honda ST1100 have drain screws at the bottom of the forks; thankfully mine does, so I don’t have to take the forks off the bike to change the fluid. The left side handles suspension and the right side does damping duties...

Broke the wooden handle on an old shovel that has been in the family for so long. I had cracked it and fixed it with hose clamps that surprisingly didn’t give way. The electrical tape hides them after a few slices that fix gave me. Found a replacement handle at Cdn Tire, had good reviews about...

Have you noticed all the dried up leaves dropping from the trees? I thought it was just our Maple tree, but I see lots of them around. I don't recall this happening before. Wonder if it was the high heat mid-July followed by the heavy rains.

For future burger night consideration for the North/East just off the 404 and one light west (big walmart in the local). Maybe a faster Soulburger tag and dash for Wednesday’s flight.

Do the trip but head northeast and stay in Ontario. Get to know the bike, camping amd not too far from home if things or weather don’t work out. You supposed to have fun with a stress or two. With the new gained experiences and confidence you can tweak things for the bigger trip next time.

Half the fun is getting there. Take back roads when you can. You will never get packing right, it is a work in progress. Pack a few days before, so on travel day, you can get at it. Wishing you a fun and safe trip. May the exchange rate be kind to your wallet.

If you have contacts there and one is a travel agent that would be the best way to do it. Sounds like a grand trip whether a cruise or fly from Cairo to Luxor and go to Aswan then to Abu Simbel.

What about a Nile cruise? If you are willing to travel that far.
