Asphalt is not your friend today

I have a blue Yamaha plate which was using before this bolt on kickstand plate. Even though I'm not fat or old, I don't bend over for nothin, so I had a coiled, hi-viz tether cord with a loop on one end that goes around the handlebar or anything on the left bar. So as I get on the bike, I just...

    Giovanni Caboto Day Lunch

What's considered vintage? 25 years old or even older? A good lasagna is one of my favourite meals to enjoy.

Anyone using Google Maps to plan a ride

I liked Tyre which eventually switched over to the free version of MyRouteApp for a couple years and then the paid version, which is amazing for my needs. Google Maps is fine for simple routes, but not very good for complicated routes with many changes of direction or stops.

    Cross Canada Ride Seeking Input

I've only done this ride once, but for my experience, the wind was super strong in that area around Regina. I stayed in Moose Jaw and even noticed a considerable fuel range drop between Moose Jaw and Swift Current. I went in August and it was very cold in the morning - heated gear cranked on...

Ride Report - 2026 Scenic Butt

No trouble at all for the most part. I think it's 46hp and so it only has trouble keeping up on the corner exits of fast sweepers, especially those going uphill, but he's a great rider and those bikes are pretty quick. In the tighter twisty sections, his bike really shines.

Ride Report - 2026 Scenic Butt

I'd love to do that kind of a ride with you if you lead and we do it in BC. Maybe we can cut it down to 300 km of just dirt and end the ride with dinner in Kelowna. And if you throw in a dirt bike for me to drop ride that'd be great. Thanks:)

Ride Report - 2026 Scenic Butt

I've done the summer solstice ride for a number of years and a couple buddies have been with me on almost every one, but for one reason or another, they could never complete it. One year it was stinking hot, another time some random guys joined the ride with their small gas tanks and fishing...

    Wear all day riding pants

When you say jeans, are you also including kevlar type riding jeans or just normal denim? Asking because I have a pair of Revit Kevlar jeans which are super comfortable and a little on the thinner side with just a bit of armour. I also have the Klim K Fifty 2 jeans which are more robust and...
