Are you so self-centered Sonny, that you need everyone in the world to hold the same opinions as you? You need to accept that others just may think differently. look at the polls leading up to the election. OMG, Harper doesn't have 100% support? I guess 70% of the population is wrong.

It's both infantile and sad that some can't discuss a topic without personally attacking those they disagree with by throwing around the word liar. Frankie has posted some pretty out there opinions, without factual backup, but no one has called him a liar. Those that do are just keyboard bullies.

Oh, this is just sweet. "The report said the federal government should put money toward things such as income subsidization, affordable housing, education and better health care to help rid Canada of poverty." It's exactly what harper has not done this past decade.

Joke: A boss arrives to work work one morning in a car easily worth the annual salary of 4 employees. An employee says, "What a great car, Boss!" Boss says, "Let me tell you something. If you work hard, put in the hours and really apply yourself, next year I'll have an even nicer one."

Is it not blasingly obvious? Think about it. What corporations get away with in avoiding taxes through loopholes they have paid politicians to create and protect, versus welfare fore the poor? Do I have those figures on hand? No. But isn't it obvious?

Like I said, wrong example for the tax topic. But it does show you how the uber wealthy manipulate the system to their benefit. Sometimes they are successful, sometimes not. When successful, the cost to the system is higher than the freeloaders on welfare.

It was just so vacuous, it needed responding to.

How does that change the big picture? No, he didn't laugh about paying no tax. But he pointed out that certain tax rules benefit the rich who make money with money - capital gains, which is taxed at a lower rate than salaried earnings. Not so different to rudely call someone a liar.
