Is that what that tool is for? I may be showing my ignorance, but I always thought that was for seeing if your axle was perpendicular to the chain? And my two cents on chain rivet tools, buy a halfway decent one, don't trust your life to pot metal. Not an endorsement, but an fyi:

Found some tools today on some Ganaraska single track (Friday July 30). Thought I'd give someone half a chance at getting them back before they become part of my tool kit. Let me know what they were and we can meet up. Also anyone know of a more appropriate forum for this sort of thing?

I was up there on friday on the DR and it looked like a lot of fun. I wouldn't mind going on a weekend but would like some more novice company.. anyone interested? I'd love to see an obstacles section where I could bring the trials bike for a spin. I think the neighbors are sick of my back yard...

Here's my basement 7 years ago. Just do it. Also: You can stagger lvls to span that distance so long as one end of each beam is supported.

To be fair though, "spans the whole first floor" could be 10' or 50' depending on your neighborhood... :P

You're probably looking at sandwiched 2x8's or LVL beams supported by several 2x4's on either side (depending on the span). I'm not trying to make it sound too simple, but wanted to remind you that you may find some wiring in there that will add to your cost once the walls are opened...

I think I have a simple answer for you. Do the same. I see you normally drive straight into your parking space at the moment, but if you simply start backing in, with your passenger side up against theirs you'll block them walking on to your lot. They'll have to back out, let the passenger...

I'm just adding Canada Bolts to the list because I didn't see it mentioned. I used them on a KDX rebuild and they were quite good to deal with. https://canadabolts.ca/

The plug cap is the hard plastic boot that sits on the spark plug itself. The wire from the coil connects to the plug cap in different ways, most likely twist on. Like Cody said, you need a solid connection in there to get a good spark at the plug.
