Thanks for the suggestions guys... I called John R Duffy, the agent I talked to was really helpful but the quote was even higher through Jevco.. I then called TD who won't insure me because my girlfriend has an M1 but hasn't taken her course... So I'm going with Jevco through my original broker...
I just got off of the phone with my insurance broker and have been informed that my insurance quote for this year is going to be $1853.. That's over $400 more than last year's policy, and this is for liability only. They said that this was because Jevco has increased their prices... I'm a...
I'm a fan of my Bridgestone Trailwings personally. The more road oriented version is fantastic (TW22 I think.) Now I wouldn't recommend riding in the swamp with them, but for fire roads and hard pack dirt they work just fine. I've had to go through a few muddy and loose sand sections with them...
Tires and chains/sprockets are easy. Save yourself the cash you'd spend on getting a mechanic to do it and get a nicer pair of tires, or a nice high end chain. It may be tricky the first time, but you'll learn valuable skills that you'll use for the rest of your motorcycling days. If your tires...
DoubleJ, it's a BMW Roundel with the lettering replaced with KLR. It's a joke us KLR weirdos have going on, generally poking fun at the "Bring More Wrenches" crowd. A Puch moped would be sweet though.. lol
Yeah it was a bit more than I wanted to spend, but I find it keeps my armor pads in place really nicely while still having plenty of room for a sweater underneath. I love the huge pit vents too. I did a good 5hr+ ride up in muskoka and was comfortable the whole time. Much better than my old fxr...
I ended up getting the Klim Traverse jacket. My friends say it makes me look like an old man but I don't care lol. It's lightweight, waterproof and nicely reflective. As a bonus, most of the armour from my fxr jacket just slips right in!
Just watched Lucio Fulchi's "Zombie" and loved every second of it. Fantastic gore effects and a pretty decent plot for a zombie flick. After, I watched Stagefright: Aquarius. Ridiculous plot but I doubt I've ever found a slasher flick so entertaining. Owl head killer is a win.
Last weekend I was riding through Port Carling, on the way back to the cottage around 9:30pm, just after the sun had gone down. I was taking it easy because of the multiple deer I'd seen on the side of the road. Up ahead, I saw what I thought was a large dog sitting in the bushes beside the...
Yeah! The ride was great. Couldn't make it all the way to swift rapids due to a fence in the way.. But it was definitely a good ride. I'd be down to ride it again, so let me know if you're heading there!
