I have brand new in box gas tank I bought with my motorcycle. Hoping to store this tank for years.
What's the shelf life of these tanks if never used? Anything I should do to ensure that if I pull this thing out 10,20,30 years from now it's not going to be rusted inside or compromised?
2017...
There are lots of lane ways in that neighborhood. Maybe you can find someone who has garage space for you a block or 2 away. If you not paying rent then you can at least pay for the parking space.
Reminds me of a quote from my favorite philosopher
know contentment
and you will meet with no disgrace
know when to stop
and you will meet with no danger
you can then endure

No apraisal needed when i got my plates earlier this month. 84 Interceptor.
From what it sounds like its one of those things that some people want and others dont bother with. (at the office)
I bought this a month ago. Changed the fluids, adjusted the shifter linkage and put it on the road. Needed a rear tire and clutch lever.
1984 - older then me
So far this bike is treating me good. I already spent time wrenching on it.
I say + 1 for older bikes. Age aint nothing but a number.
I use a regular OGIO backpack and its very comfortable. You have to spend a little money but its a good investment. You'll be using this backpack everyday to go to school so at $100 a bag its not so bad.
I took my sister out as a first time passenger, I wasn't sure how the bike would handle and I was afraid of going down. thankfully shes small and I was able to handle the bike. I've only been riding full time for a couple of weeks so first time passengers were my biggest worry.
