I use to think the same thing until I tried a really good bourbon, every sip felt like a warm little hug. They have a saying down here in bourbon country…” Beer is for quitters”. They take their bourbon very seriously in Kentucky.

All whisky and bourbon ARE beer. FYI.

While I`d enjoy a cold pint with any member here.....I`ve been sober for almost 20 years. For me,... just not a good idea. Anybody can quit... it`s stayin` quit that`s hard. From personal experience I`ll start another thread,.. "Who`s ridden a motorcycle while drunk"?

I could drink a bottle of wine or a case of beer tonight and not have another drop for a year.

Cigarettes on the other hand is my vice....

Not me, I`d be right back at it the next night. Oddly enough I`ve never touched a cigarette.
