When I sold my x300 and blower.

I got an ego battery blower. (Yes I was skeptical of battery power and all that plastic)

It's been 3 years now. Simply amazing.

I was so impressed I bought a second one for work place

I will NEVER go back to a gasser.

I have an Ariens Platinum SHO 30" and it's a beast. 414cc motor chews through everything whether drifted 2 feet high, or wet and always blows it at least 50 feet away (usually more). Starts right up every time and is nicely weighted, auto-turn feature works flawlessly as well. I love mine and would highly recommend it (and I've had a few blowers over the years). The Ariens boards show similar high praise with the EFI models the only one's with some issues.

Have had the Ego blower for 3 years now myself and it's amazing🤩
Two stage & will throw snow 50' with ease. It eagerly eats the dreaded bottom of the driveway stuff and spits it out. No "will it start when I need it" worries after the first snowfall!
 
Did my 4th cut with my Z530M zero-turn and realized even though I'm not a lawn guy I usually actually enjoy the time I spend on my old lawn tractor and I just don't enjoy it while using my ZT. Called the dealer and asked if they'd do a swap for a tractor which they said was fine. New X380 54" on it's way to replace my new Z530M 54". Partly because my property just wasn't as good of a fit for a ZT as I thought but also probably because I've run a lawn tractor for over 40yrs and maybe I'm too old to change.

kinda like when it comes to family haulers, everybody knows a minivan is the most practical choice, but nobody wants one. They choose an SUV

Zero turns make more sense, but tractors are way cooler. :)
 
I’ve used a zero turn helping at a friends place . They are fantastic for grass cutting . There is something to be said for sitting a tractor , feeling all farmery.

I did my first cut yesterday. It looks like Hellen Keller did it because I haven't mastered all the approach angles and keeping straight lines but I enjoyed operating it and feeling all farmery. Bush bar and big-ass flood lights are next, just because I can.

Seconds after I took this picture my dog lifted his leg and christened the back wheel. For good luck I guess.

looks like not much has changed from my 2014 X300 except your deck looks way nicer, thats for sure.

did they ever move to sealed chassis? I used to grease nipple all my steering, chassis and mower deck every spring

There's definitely zerks on the steering spindles, as to the rest I haven't familiarized myself yet. Probably do a full look-over this weekend to verify what's all there.

I want one of these so much...especially at the cottage, but nowhere to keep it when I'm away and it's too steep/narrow to get into the basement.
 
Spacemaker shed or those portable ones made of tubing? You can also get custom lawn tractor covers or just throw a Tyvek tarp over it. I have a 10'x16' wooden one I parked it into fortunately.

My biggest concern is theft. Theres a handful of neighbours that has their cottage garages broken into and things disappeared.

Besides that…I’d def build a shed for the cottage as it’s easier than basement…and the basement is easy to break into.

Hell I’ve broken into the cottage when I locked myself out. A few pushes with the shoulder got me in shockingly easy.
 
Yeah I don't have an answer for that. This new place is surrounded by incredibly nosey seniors and they all have ring cams or the sort.
 
Zero turn is gone and the new rider is here. It feels very well made and solid. Dielectric grease put in the fittings and bypassed the reverse-mow button. I gave all metal a WD40 coat and the plastic and seat got protectants as well. Should last a while.

Awesome. Did you get the mulch kit? I haven't put mine on yet but need to, it flings grass and **** everywhere.
