Happy Canada day!

Happy post Canada Day , we had a distance race with the sailboat to kill the afternoon, got in 15 mins before the monsoon, ribs and beer till the fireworks started in Bronte . Huge police presence kept the idiots in line and the day was a great success.
Happy being Canadian.

Bronte Waterfront Park ain't no Chinguacousy Park.

if you saw all the attendees , it looked a lot like Chinguacousy .
Dozens of tickets handed out , fireworks confiscated and a couple weapon charges . I'll sit on a boat and watch the show, I'm not wading through the crowd of strollers , roller skates and families the size of small cattle herds taking entire sidwalks .

Good call.

From a couple years ago but the sentiment remains the same.

Oh Yeah! Love that 6. 1 or 2 often show up to the Perth County Moto bike nights.

My BIL had a new 79' when I first started riding. I was laying on the tank, flat out doing 90 MPH, all my 74 CB360 would give, when he passed with the wheel in the air. Never will I forget that.

For Canada Day I rode up to Killbear PP to give my old knee a chance to decide whether I was taking the PEI trip later or not later this summer. Made it to the park at 4PM (original plan was Awenda, Killbear or Grundy Lake depending on my discomfort - Sadly Killbear won out)
A very hot day in the saddle, so first priority was to fish out the folding chair, a beer and a smoke. After that I set to putting up my tent around the same time it started raining. After some rain I got out of the tent for more beer smoke, and a supper of some tinned food and crackers. Rained most of the night.

Rode back Thursday in great weather and only when I got home did I learn of the nasty weather I missed.

Tree damage all over and the large storage barn ( 5 minutes from home) where I keep my Roadtrek for the winter was flattened. A few classics were still inside when it came down.
