Time to boycott

I'm more concerned with whether the cup has made a trip to the floor prior to it going in the dispenser, if the person pulling it out of the dispenser to pour coffee into it has washed their hands after their recent spray poo or not, and if the pot of coffee (?) is made with a second pot of water run through the grinds a second time. All things that have been reported to happen at Scam Hortons.

And if it's actually how I ordered it. I mean 1/2 cream no sugar is pretty complicated. The 1/2 part is a bit of a brain seizer.

Or, just stop going there 7 years ago and be done with it.
Long ago when everybody still considered timmies reasonable it only took getting served a coffee once from them with lipstick smudge still on the rim of the cup for me to always ask for a to go cup regardless whether i was staying to consume it or not.
Now even as a coffee consumer by preference as i do not drink soft drinks or energy drinks i will pick water over their coffee every time.

I try to support local family businesses. Especially when it comes to restaurants. It’s not an easy thing to keep going under the best of circumstances. Good people, good food, decent price, you’ll get my hard earned dollars.

Even when I travel, I seek out local recommendations to support. I know franchisees are a tough industry but, prefer the mom pop spots. I’ll hold my nose and go to a chain in a pinch.

I had a similar experience when once was at Tim Hortons, except it wasn’t lipstick it was a coffee that tasted like perfume that was picked up going through a drive through.

During COVID shutdowns we had take out 2-3 times a month and had a rule - no chain restaurants. Only local and independent businesses get our business. Even now, when my wife and I go out to dinner we only dine at local independent restaurants whenever possible.

Local independents are getting harder to find . They are around but less of them it appears . High end independents are easy enough to find but that’s a special event night these days . The thirty dollar bottle of wine turns into seventy .

The advise that i got from employees of supermarkets was to avoid their precooked chicken as cooking the product was a last resort otherwise it was going into the trash.
I may be picky but i also knew a couple of guys that worked doing kitchen fire suppression systems and i would always ask what they thought of a restaurant's kitchen before i would eat there.
The stories that they would tell about some popular eateries would be enough to make you ill.
Its a good thing my immune system runs like a champ. Never an issue so far...and it all open you see the kitchen from counter. But I do hear yeah.
