Looking for a comfortable set of ear buds for riding,

I have speakers in my helmet but would prefer something with dual purpose for when also off the bike,

Anybody got suggestions on what’s good and not difficult when wearing a helmet?
 
You want wireless or wired?
Or do you mean ear plugs?
 
Would also be interested to know what people are using. I have tried a few different solutions, and nothing seems to be perfect for me so far. I have custom molded earplugs, but they cause too much pressure when wearing the helmet and I get popping when moving my head around. I have the NoNoise Motorsports filtering ones too, and they are the most comfortable, but still get a bit of popping and are louder than I'd want with the wind noise. The orange expanding foam ones are fine, but get uncomfortable after 1.5 hours or so.

This was my setup. Ear plugs to kill the wind noise, and music through the helmet CARDO speakers I had.

Worked great.

Could never get ear pods or any in-ear speakers work as they always fell out or got moved to a painful position.

I am looking for something that is still usable when not wearing my helmet but still able to connect to my phone. something that is comfy in the ears also when wearing the helmet.

If i'm camping or just at a place that i still want to hear music or books.

Same. Maybe it's a Euro ear thing, otherwise @ToSlow will have the same issue.

Even when I could get ear buds to stay in when I put my helmet on, as soon as I took my helmet off it's an instant game of where on the ground did those ear buds land because at least one will always fall out.
 
Evoex suggested some earplug/earphone things that I bought and used before I had the Cardo set up. I still use the headphones when I'm cutting the grass wearing muffs. They work well, stay in the ear inside the helmet, and stay comfy for quite a while. The 2 plugs are wired together.

Looking at my bluetooth stuff I believe they're called plugphones. The show up as PFliberate on my bluetooth.
 
Did I read somewhere that bluetooth ear buds fry your brain with radiation or something such voodoo...?

I use wired buds... 'Designed as or sold as meant to be worn while sleeping.
They're small and dont protruding much so getting ones lid on/off doesn't dislodge them.

I've had Bluetooth earbuds only increase volume rather then decrease randomly, now image it increases non-stop while your riding. Cue Scanners head explosion scene.

I settled on these before trying 5 others:

No battery required is a bonus.

In one of threads on here someone recommended the following

There is an active noise cancellation version for 20$ more. I have used similar style before, so they may work for your requirements.

Imho, best fit and audio quality was Jabra 75t.. they stayed in ear esp when you take your helmet off but Jabra exited retail headset business but 5h max battery (when it was new)

I used earfun buds but it pops out every time you take helmet out. They are good for what they are for the price (when on sale). They have good battery life, audio controls are touch based, but I set my volume and don't mess around. Song skipping is non existent so i just use my phone

Now I use xgp helmet speakers (recommend by someone in GTAM in one of the threads)

I use the Monster Achieve earbuds under my helmet when I'm on my dirtbike, running, or generally working around the house, cutting grass, etc. They sound great, stay in your ear and are comfortable, last a good 8hrs or so (charging case is very small so easy to pack along to charge up which I think gets you around 32hrs in total). Plus they were only around $50 on sale. Had them for 3-4yrs now and would recommend.

Very similar to the Monster Achieve although updated with a few new features like noise cancelling, etc. More money but may be worth it to you.

I use my Sena headset on my motorcycle paired with the Earpeace Moto Pro and I can't stress enough how good the Moto Pro's are. I had the original Moto one's prior and I thought they were decent but the Pro's although still inexpensive are literally amazing. No wind noise and music/calls come through clearly. I was going to buy a new headset because music was never loud or clear enough through my other earplugs but the Moto Pro's changed that.
