Not until July. Balsam Lake is booked for July 3-5. Ride the area. Heading there from Oakville on the Friday morning.
 
Tent, sleeping bag & thermarest are packed in a dry bag just in case for the next month. Planning on one or two nights at least in the tent.
 
I am planning a trip someplace eastern Ontario as i've never riden those roads before. not crazy about staying in a campground so i'll be more looking for a place thats more remote and free camping.

We camp for two reasons, sometimes we are so far into the bush there aren't accommodations for hours around. And other times, we are in super-expensive places that the only affordable place for non-ballers is sleeping on the ground.

Was in some of the resort-towns in Colorado during high season, cheapest places in Ouray were $500 CAD/night. Yeah... no. We're sleeping on the ground.

Both valid reasons...
Im not really into the bush, that was the glorious 80's, but I digress...

During the height of vacation time it's often difficult to even find hotel/motel accommodation... camping expands your options a bit, if you can handle it.

I don't remember much of the 80s actually. Was black-out drunk most of the time.

Is it still camping if you pass out on the ground and there's no sheet of nylon between your head and the sky? What if you do have a tent already set up but you don't actually make it inside?

Asking for a friend...
