Vos Motors?

anybody here ever dealt with or bought a bike from Vos Motors?

I’ve taken interest in a number of their ads over the years, as they frequently have bikes I like at prices that “almost” seem too good to be true, but every time I deal with them by email or over the phone I’m left with that uneasy feeling.

Always something a little bit shady - bait and switch ads for bikes they don’t actually have that stay up all summer; ads with bike pics that don’t match the model; white lies from receptionists and salespeople about this and that.

Just stuff that makes you take a step back, that’s happened enough times to seem like a pattern…

Interested to hear if anyone else has first hand experience with them?

Thanks. All good to know. Much appreciated.

Not trying to build a narrative about the shop. They have a bike I am seriously interested in but was wary about making a long trip if I was just going to set myself up for disappointment

My recommendation would be to call them and ask point blank whether the bike is available.

Once you have that confirmation, make the trek over to check it out in person and make a deal if the numbers work for you.

Unfortunately beyond that...not much you can do outside of getting someone to pop in there and take a look for you that's close (I'm not as it's too far for me from work or home).

Used or new? You could always ask is there's a local GTAM'er nearby willing to stop by and take a peek, maybe send pics/vids. How far away are you?

I kinda compare their web listings with AM Sales. I see what inventory sits and what stuff moves and sometimes they adjust their pricing as the products get stale.

Any touring HD, be sure to look at 2009 or newer for improvements to their frame. 2008 and older are less desirable. If going HD route, ask if the tensioner shoes have been replaced on higher mileage models. They tend to grenade with no warning.

If you any interest in the HD Pan America's
Shoot me a message

I bought my MT-09SP a few years back. They were straightforward and no drama. Didn't like their finance guy pushing for full financing and warranty but I'd guess it's like this everywhere, so I just kept saying No till we signed the papers..
So as others said - if you like something htere and far away - just ask someone here to go and check it for you - not a big deal.
