Winter stretch

So @Gaoler , what settled you on the Baretta six nine four?

As with other things... 'Nothing rational.
Call it a mix of brand loyalty, brand reputation with perhaps a little bit of peer influence.
I've owned a Beretta over/under shotgun, a Silver Pigeon before and thought it was great. Many of my shooting friends use Berettas and I've never heard a complaint.
On the .0001% chance I ever have a problem, Beretta has a well established global presence so parts/service should never be an issue.
Although the 694 isn't the most spendy in the Beretta line, it ain't the cheapest either and I believe with some things in life you get what you pay for. Also... buy once cry once.
I tried it on and it fit so... I took it home :)

That is a beautiful shotgun. Did you get it fitted for you? My 697 SP and my 686 SPII both came out of the box with long LOP and needed to be cut down, shimmed to fit but one I did that my hit rate improved dramatically.

I have long arms but found the Italian guns come with a long LOP which I fund funny because tall and lanky is not what I picture when i think of an Italian hunter or target shooter. I have a Benelli Super Nova Steady grip and I even cut that down to make running and gunning for birds easier. I have a beretta AL391 slugger and i removed the factory recoil system and just put the factor recoil pad on butt end and it shaved off about 1" making it much easier to use in a tree stand.
