AGV helmet recall

Same, hence the 14 year old half helmet, not the uppy downie flippy thingy.

Latest info from GPBikes.

Hello Dainese,
We have been made aware of the Tourmodular Helmet recall by our Canadian distributor (Importations Thibault). They have asked us to freeze any stock in our inventory which we have done but have said that they are waiting for further instructions from AGV USA as to how to assist our customers who already own these helmets. We have followed up multiple times with both our Canadian distributor as well as AGV USA and have been given no further instruction. We've heard rumour that AGV USA are waiting on parts for a fix.
I have copied our customer, Richard, on this email as you have told him to reach out to his dealer, GP Bikes, for further assistance but we have not been given any direction on how AGV USA would like us to proceed to help him.

Please advise.

Thanks,
Marianne

Very unprofessional to let me know about the "rumour".

This is my third AGV helmet. Judging by the way they are handling this, it could be my last.

Email from Thibaut today assuring me that AGV will take care of the issue. Lol. What a circle jerk.

I bought an AGV K-5 S at the bike show and really like it. Much lighter than my Shark modular and very quiet (not as quiet as my old Shoei RF1000 though). Hopefully no recall on this one.

No email for me! Still in the dark. I'm thinking Small Claims Court might be a possible path to a resolution.

But who to take. Thibault,AGV or GP?

Maybe the one least likely to show up.

Would any one of them show up?
Or their lawyers?

I bought a K6 in a pinch when I couldn't get the Arai I wanted in time for a trip three years ago. It has some compromises compared to the Arai, but it's nice and light weight and pretty quiet. I'm on my third season with it. Wasn't really planning on putting it to use this long but I'll probably do two more and then switch back to Arai.

Keep at it. I will too, via a different route. The federal notice says 865 of these were sold in Canada. Are you and I the only two who are pursuing this? Where are the rest of the buyers? That should be enough for a Class Action.
