Speed camera update (Sept.11)

And it's down again. It lasted a week before it was destroyed.

Over 67,000 tickets totaling $7M from that camera so far. No changes to road design yet although they have talked about it. Yup, all about safety, not at all about fundraising. /all of the sarcasm in the world

EDIT:
Security camera is still up. They completely stole the speed camera this time. They dragged it to a waiting vehicle and left with it.
Wow, that didn't take too long...

Wow, I thought it would take longer than that! Not all heroes wear capes. Bravo to those involved.

Get over it. The politicians have taken a play out of the Nazi handbook but instead of Jews being the cause of all evil it's cars.

You can't persecute them enough,

Tax their tires
Tax their fuels
Tax their sales
To hell with rules

B's son a 61 in a 50 zone in Fergus. She was with him in her car.

ya it triggers around 11 over from what i've been able to tell.
Letter of the law I think they can set it at one over. I don't know of a municipality that has officially disclosed the threshold. They all argue privacy to avoid releasing that. In practice, I think at least the vast majority (and maybe all) are setting threshold at ~10 km/h over.

Southbound East Mall near Dundas, pole for the speed camera is cut down and the camera is gone.

Town of Georgina is in the process of installing a bunch of these. The posts are up, and the signs in place but the cameras aren't mounted yet.
