Unless you have a vintage bike with a vacuum petcock, just replace the whole unit - it's a $15/part. Check Amazon, most Suzuki and Yamaka petcocks are interchangeable, just match the diameter of the fuel supply line and anyone should work.

Its a good idea to check how much reserve you have after changing a petcock, unless it's a direct OE replacement there's a good chance it will change.
