Should a guy be upset right now if some reporter spits into his microphone and then stuck it close to your face?

All valid points but without a parallel universe for comparison it's armchair quarterbacking at best.

Many of the things you mention are pre-existing conditions that should have been dealt as soon as they came up with but everyone assumed that no major event was going to happen. Assume = Ass out of U and me. Too late now.

Trumpies passive genocide is working quite well for him. People of colour make up 40% of US population and 52% of excess deaths.

Excess death total is ~235,000. That is approximately one in every 1400 people has died above and beyond normal death rate of 1.7M (~1 in every 200)

All valid points BUT . Many were not pre-existing . How do you diagnose cancer with out doctors . Many peoples surgeries were put on hold . How many died from not getting them . It is very short sighted to think the lock down saved lives not cost lives . I was in the hospitals that were empty .

They create fear . Yet do nothing for your safety . There are no standards for theses masks. So the people that implemented these rules know they are not for safety but control.

It saved lives and it cost lives. That is where analysis of excess deaths comes in. You can't track each individual case but you can compare the number of people that died this years to historical numbers of people that died.

Not Getting Surgeries: BS. If you had a surgery that was life necessary, you got it done. Period (Period).
Not Getting Diagnosed with Cancer: You feel lousy enough, you go get checked. If positive, then you get your treatments. Period (here in Canada). You don't get checked, your own fault. And yes. My immediate family has had cancer run rampant. I am decently well versed in the system about it.
People with Addictions: Treatment was always available like before. You choose not to get help, so be it.
People with Abusive Partners: I do feel sorry for them. But as with most things, there is help readily available. Police calls. Shelters. Family. Etc.
Mental Health from Wearing Masks: WTF? Seriously? Only people who have mental health issues from masks are the ones refusing to wear them, and that's a choice they are making.
People Losing Life Savings: Help is available. Sure, if you've got an extravagant life style and spend out the wazoo, well, you should have rolled back the spending. CERB is there. Every bit helps. Me, I lost my job shortly before beginning COVID. I've put out 270 applications for jobs in my field. Unfortunately, each one has 300+ applicants according to LinkedIn etc. So, I hustle and do whatever I can to make money. Temp jobs at friend's businesses, helping renovations at acquaintances homes etc etc.
Businesses that Went Under: I feel for them. Friend of mine's store went under. They are truly getting the short end of the stick.
Huge Deficit: Agreed. It's gonna suck. But, it's either that, or watch more people rely on CERB and the system to stay afloat.

There are so many inaccuracies in your post that I don't know where to start . You throw out so many things are are not accurate .

People required heart surgeries that were cancelled . They were need ASAP .
People went to hospitals but were sent home due to hospitals being emptied for the " wave " . Doctors were doing appointments online . Hard to diagnose anything online . As doctors were not seeing patients . So you tell me how you get treatment ?
Shelters were not accepting new people . Social services were not available as offices were closed . I guess the police can put you on the street if need be . I hope the kids enjoy the homeless life style .
Masks have no standards so any cloth will do . Does that sound like a something to protect you ? If they were serious they would have standards for masks . Plus the numbers are so low why now . It's to keep you in fear while politician do what they want .
Many people did not qualify for CERB . Many businesses will not reopen . People relied on these businesses for their retirement . You sighted one example . There are thousands .
Where you think cuts are going to come from ? The biggest ticket item is health care . We can't spend forever .

I see people cross the road when I walk towards then . I see people with masks on in their cars,while walking alone.and while riding bicycles . Do you think this is normal behavior and rational .

No one will report on this . The media is paid for by the government . They won't bite the hand that feeds them .

Have you seen the forms you have to fill out to participate in any event yet? Like even having your hair styled!
... what a crock, everybody now needs you to sign that you don't care if the city or whoever is negligent even if they are negligent :/ wow, talk about paranoia, as if any of this has to do with the virus or curbing it.

I wonder who collects all these paper forms and what they do with them :unsure:
