My Goldwing spoiled me with the lights it had.Yellow running lights in the mirrors,4 halogen headlights and two amber "fog" lights in the lower cowl.I NEVER had someone turn left in front of me.My new to me ducati leaves me feeling a bit vulnerable.I need a bit more up front on it.
The amber fog lights that i had on the wing imho were the key.And they were only 55w cheapos.Looking at led lights available i see prices ranging from $100 a pair to $600 a pair.
I rarely ride after dark,so i don't need to burn a hole into the horizon.

Thoughts?

I have a Denali D1 set on my Wee. I've got them pointed down low so they won't blind oncoming traffic.

not really

I rarely ride after dark now too

I like that. Neutron S Blade would look badass on my vrod.

Just get the Denali D2's. You can always sell them later if you give up riding, they at least have a good rep over the no-name LED's.

One thing I was told, when you have lights on either side of your bike, do not mount them level. One up, one down. Draws attention to offset lighting.

`----_ Hope that makes sense.

If you want to be conspicuous for safety purposes, Skene Designs are the ticket. I've used them for many years and they're highly effective.

I have Denali D4s on mine. I also have some podlights I need to fix on the bike that I can tie into any circuit that have a twinkle effect for conspicuity. Just need to find a place to put them. The D4s are like mini suns. I put them to come on with the high beam and sometimes will ride around with high beam on if it’s a sunny day. If it’s overcast or anything they are too bright to do that.

At $250cdn it might be more worthwhile to buy denalis. They look really good tho. It's an option.

I am a fan of Denali, had them on the last 2 GS's I owned and will eventually add them to my current bike.

What I like about them is the dual intensity settings. Day use you can have them at a certain percentage serving the purpose of making you more visible. Not sure about other bikes but guess it can be the same, they integrated well with my current switches. They still had their own direct on and off. By default they were on low, when I turned on my high beam they went on full blast.

They come as a complete kit with all the wiring and switches you will need, you just need mounts. Bang for your buck I think Denali are the way to go.

You can buy the universal mounting kit in ebay.in

Discontinued. And when the site asks what country you are shopping from, it says $512.

I think you can do the pay in US ship from US switcheroo thingy. But it does make it more complicated.

If ordering from Twistedthrottle.ca I would see if there is a local dealer where you can pick it up. The last Denali set I ordered a few years back from TwistedThrottle.CA (Canadian site) came with a shock when it was delivered had some duty charges that UPS needed payment for. When I contacted TwistedThrottle they told me because it came from the US. Not sure why they would not warn when ordering from a .ca site. Needless to say I was not happy and have not purchased from them online again.

Had trouble with them before. Same crap. No thanks.

How about a headlight modulator, or a modulator for whichever auxiliary lights you decide on.

Good idea. It's on the list. Not in a hurry. By the time i get this done I'll need a refresher course.
