Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

Not sure about the price of the bike, but this is the most information I've ever seen on a bike ad.

Thoughts on if this is overpriced?

If those are the actual km then this is pretty much a new bike.

i love these, but for most used ones going for ~$2000, i doubt it takes another $7800 to get it into that condition.

I'd say it's an okay price. It has a full 2nd set of brand new fairings in the most desirable colour scheme which cost $2000 alone. I've seen them without extra bodywork for this price in US dollars.

This colour and the Urban Tiger bikes are getting very collectible. The later years (94-98) you can find beat up with high miles for $2000 maybe.

Is it a full set or is it just two panels? The wording is very awkward. " Bought up spare OEM fairings (front cowl, mid right side 2000.00 value brand new in box) "

sounds like just 2 panels to me. Only worthwhile if the rest are in mint condition as well. Otherwise it's mismatched.

What is the bottom price for a running Harley? Obviously an old sportster with stupid ape hangars isn't as desirable as a Fat Boy, but I would be surprised if the bottom was below two or three thousand (for a potato bike, I could see V-rods following import prices as they are desired by a different market).

Value is subjective I suppose, if you really like something you'll pay. I've always believed a product is worth what the buyer feels it's worth. It's all perception.

Old Honda CBs for example, I really like those bikes but don't see the value in them at current prices.

Personally I don't care for Harleys (with a few exceptions) and wouldn't buy it for any price, but someone might think that 2-3k is insane money for a bike like that. Someone else might think 5k is a steal.

You're confusing personal value with worth. There's a certain price range for a specific vehicle in a specific market, regardless of whether you desire it or not.
