Zx7r Over Heated, then the coolent drained out

I was stuck in traffic and the bike got super hot, I tried to make it home then the coolent dumped, it looks like it only came out the drain hose.

Any input would be great.

what's the condition at this point?

That will def be my 1st thing i do. Can I use coolant from Ctire, or do I need to go by a shop?

Just worked on a '98 ZX7R - with 60k. water pump was on its way out.

Refill your cooling system, then check these first:

1. Is your radiator being blocked out ? most of the cases no.
2. Does your rad fan turn on?
3. Condition of your fluid ?
4. Hows the water pump?

If all the above are fine - you might have to look into how your carbs are setup.

as mentioned below, your fan should have kicked on. the zx7r had a history of being
"underwired" for the amperage they put out. check your fan fuse, and if necessary remove
your rad, and check that the fan motor hasn't seized and / or fan blade melted.
