I am going to do an oil change this week.
I have some motile left and a fresh jug of T6

Can i use what is left of the motile and mix with the T6?

"If i was educated, I'd be a damn fool"

I would like to know the same thing, but i'm assuming don't mix .

If the weight,ie both are 10w40, and the "make"('natural', semi-syn, syn) I would personally do it, why waste?

I wouldn't be afraid to mix any and all types of motor oil keeping viscosity ranges in mind. Probably wouldn't go to heavy % wise with the energy conserving type in the mix

Personally I don't mix as i don't know what happens when company A's additives mix and potentially react with company b's additives. I suspect problems rarely happen, but the savings are not worth while for the potential costs.

I use leftovers in lawnmowers (the small amount is enough to fill) or as storage oil over the winter (without the heat and pressure of combustion, I am not concerned about mixing oil types, run it quickly in the spring to flush the crap out and then put in good stuff).

Just dont mix automotive oil with motorcycle oils. Autos don;t use engine oil in transmission and clutch, and the additives could give clutch plate issues.

its' fine

Mix. Don't buy into oil paranoia.

True story. On a ride somebodys' oil level didn't show on the window. Oil was readily available. He chose not to top up because "mixing is not good". Varies mild forms of persuasion could not carry the day. Much head shaking ensued. There may have been a low whistle or two as well.

People spend too much money on oil.
People change oil too frequently.
People should read and follow the damn manual, because that is the only true expertise for that engine.

Some 20 bikes over the years and so many oil combinations that I can't imagine.

No "known" problems

If both oils are spec for the bike, what would be the problem.

If you dig down below all the oil companies BS advertisements you will find that the vast majority of lubricating oils comes from three oil brokers, and all the oil companies buy from all three brokers.
In case you don't know what that means: There is no signifigant difference between brands.

Here is another oil tid-bit for you: It is a fact that the best lubricating oils come out of the ground in Pennsylvania, hence we have Penn-State, QuakerState, Pennzoil and so on, so how many oil companies sell oil that came out of the ground in Pennsylvania?
One. Who knows who?
