Changing tires recommended shops - Durham

Hi everyone. I have a 2006 Vulcan, my rear tire has a slow leak and I've decided to change both front and rear. I'm selling the bike, but it needs new rubber anyway and tires aren't that expensive. I know shops like Rosey Toes will change the tire on the rim for around $10, but I don't trust myself to remove the wheels and re install them correctly, so I need full service. Looking for recommendations around Ajax - and how much would I expect to pay for front / rear tire change on labor only. Will buy the tires online, I can get them for around $200 - but that being said I haven't ordered them yet, thought I'd reach out here for recommended shops and will see if they come close to the price of tires as well.

Personally I use Clarington cycle in Hampton. I buy my tires directly from mike, he is always competive with online prices and gets them delivered to his shop usually within 2 days. Not sure of his labour rates off the top of my head but I know they are comparable with every other shop I have looked at.
 
+1 for clarington cycle. I travel from Peterborough to get my service done by them. Always received prompt service at a great price. Worth the extra distance from Ajax.

Yes I will likely be using Mike as well have used him a few times in the past. Just be prepared for a 2 - 3 day turn around. which at blush seems a lot for changing tires but this is their BUSY season. I asked at a dealership I use all the time for other stuff and they said they would need the bike for 2 weeks!!! Of course they make you wait longer of you don't buy the tires there, (but they were $40 per tire + tax more expensive then what I paid for my new Metzler 888's last week at the no tax sale.
 
Mike is good at Clarington as is Dave at Competition Cycle (closer to you as well).
 
Thanks for all the replies. In the end I am going with Rosy Toes. The others just couldn't match his price for the swap - and he doesn't charge extra if you don't buy the tires from him - in fact when I told him the price I would get the tires for online, he encouraged me to buy them and go see him when I'm ready to have them installed - $80. I'm sure both Clarington Cycle and Competition Cycle provide great service - which I don't normally mind paying a bit more for - but in this case I'm selling the bike so the extra $$ makes a difference.

So how much are you going to save overall ? ... Just curious
 
Did someone deal with Cobourg Cycle? They are in Grafton now. That would be the most convenient for me, however I don't know anything about them.

By buying the tires online I seem to be saving about $30 per tire. For just labor Rosy Toes is charging $80, one of the others quoted $180, and the other quoted $85 + $16 for not buying tires from them + potentially more if there are issues such as removing the pipes. The last one seems close in price but I didn't like that last part about potential for more $$.

Stay far away from that place for service. Ken (kneedragger88 on here) or Clarington Cycle, or go a bit furthur and see Dave.

I think its a little more on tires, but around there...maybe $80. On labor only Clarington wasn't bad, they said $85 + $16 + $maybe more. If everything went smoothly then it would have been $85+$16+tax, so about $114 to install the tires I bought online...not much more than Rosy Toes, assuming there was no extra - I didn't know how to read into that. Rosy Toes will be $80 cash, and my folks live near there so I don't have to hang around and wait if he's busy. I'm just sharing my experience, started of this thread looking for options and was given some great ones - these all seem like good shops and savings will depend on where you get the tires primarily. For me an extra $50 in my pocket is important - I have 4 kids and that will pay for a night out at MacDonald's!!!

My good friend did. Speaking about it afterwards we found out he wasn't the only one.
