VFR800F and CBR650F coming to Canada

Interesting -- Really hoping the 650 is at the show, as I do consider it a contender for me vs the 600RRA (want the power, but insurance + being able to ride for hours is in the back of my mind).

No CBR300, which is good news for me as i will be looking to sell my 250 come spring time.

When will Honda learn that they will not sell as many VFR's as they need to at that $14k+ price

I was thinking the same, but then I checked the Ninja 1000 (likely it's closest competition) and that retails at $14k even.

VFR definitely looks good

Ah yeah that seems about right then. Might pick one up down the line when the price drops a bit.

Kinda OT, but why do manufacturer websites rarely/never post the actual hp & tq numbers? Would it be misleading, or are they avoiding liability (i.e. claims against them if a buyer finds lower numbers)?

Probably in this case cause they're uninspiring on paper

"Peak horsepower of 104 arrives at 10,250 rpm, said the Honda press release at EICMA, with 55 pound-feet of torque available at 8,500 rpm"

I find that new VFR uninspiring ... and, at $15K, WITH v-Tec? that's crazy. They way overpriced that 1200, which was a fun bike, and didn't sell very many of them. I feel as though the market has moved on from the VFR heyday.

The CBR650F is gorgeous! Just on looks, I prefer it over the other Japanese middle-weight comparrisons (Ninja 650, SV650, FZ6R).

18 for a vfr 1200 hahahahaha. Even the 800.... I'd take a busa or even the fugly zx 14 over either one. That thing better come with a free hooker for that kind of money.

Agreed. I love my Honda's and when I read the title of this thread was stoked since I'm likely getting out of my SS this year. Then you see the price and it's back to looking. Basically I compare this model to the CB1000RA, Ninja 1000, FZ09, etc. Sure they arent full fared but their pricing allows for a lot of options to be added to be better then the VFR,

Ninja 1000 msrp is $14k, CB1000RA msrp is $14k, FZ09 msrp is $9k. Except for the FZ, they're all in about the same ballpark

My next bike will be a 650, and I thought kawasaki it was going to be for sure, but now that Honda has one out... That changes it, will have to look at the two much more closer now.

I think Honda would do a lot of damage to HD if they would just lower the price a bit on that CB. I was interested but it's priced so high that its really not worth it. For that price I could, for example, buy 2 matching his and hers dualsports, etc. I realize stuff has a price to manufacture but why buy HD when you could get this instead..

Beautiful bike... ridiculous price.

Is $13,200 +++ too much?

It is $10,400 in the USA... unfortunately, our dollar just went down the toilet, and the USA model does not have ABS

[h=4]EDIT: It is $11,900 with ABS in the USA (vs. $13,200 here), and for that price it includes a larger gas tank and different exhaust!

CB1100 DLX[/h] [h=5]Base MSRP $11,899*[/h] [h=4]Features & Options[/h]
  • Adds: Combined ABS, .5 gallon larger fuel tank, 4-2 Exhaust
