Guy on #11 and I have had some fun little battles on previous track days (wasn't at this one). Too bad he got stuck and had to exit the track due to a rider who blatantly, intentionally and repeatedly breaks track rules (wheelies) and shows poor track etiquette (straight line hero).
Technically it wasn't against the rules that day as there was NO mention about any wheelies at the riders meeting. If it was against the rules or causing problems I'm sure they woulda black flagged me as I wheelie past both to and from the marshal station at turn 6 every lap

. My bike was way more wheelie happy than normal due to the MR12 and it just put a smile on my face holding it inches off the ground especially in 3rd gear
Wait, lol, didn't know power wheelies exiting a corner are against the track rules... for what it's worth, I personally never felt endangered or bothered by hpvchewy. I've been on the track in close proximity to him many times spanning a few days this summer, and we also had some exciting "battles" too--passing each other and such. I still remember one particular occasion when I passed him coming into T2 and had such incredible speed that he told me later he thought I was gonna crash in T3 as it looked to him I'm beyond max lean angle, which did seem so after reviewing the video later. I understand #11's disappointment completely with having to come off the track to generate a gap, but I also think the "useless wheelies and didn't want to pass because of your lines" is an extreme exaggeration. Anyways...carry on now.
Yeah, we've had some great battles on the track, we'll for sure have to try and stage together next time, although I noticed the track entrance marshal purposely watch for people battling on the track, and delay one of their entrances onto the track (if they staged together). Generally wheelies are frowned upon in any group but red/advanced group, at least that's how it was at Shannonville and with the Racer5 run days at TMP. At least everyone knows, when my front wheel is in the air, I ain't going to be making any sudden line changes
I'm pretty sure he was flagged last year for wheelies. I know they're not stand up wheelies but he seems to be the only guy doing them down the straight. Also in terms of extreme exaggeration my friend who pulled off and on again put down a 1:21 after being behind Sir. Jamie. He knows how to pass, pulling off was the better choice. Again not trying to be rude and hopefully Thanksgiving weekend has some nice weather for us
I've seen him ride, he's way faster in the corners than me, and much better on the brakes too. My best is a 1:24 and was doing 1:28's yesturday. He was probably more worried about ME than him, as far as passing goes, I'm sure he coulda done it with ease. And when I'm passed I NEVER overtake the same bike on the next straight, ever.
I was blacked flagged last year by Racer5, Fawaz wasn't sure why but I did bounce a pretty big wheelie on the front straight when I quick shifted right as my tire was coming down (from 2nd to 3rd). If I time it wrong, or hit the limiter during the wheelie in 2nd gear then kick it to 3rd, it'll bounce the front and do a big mostly unintentional wheelie. I think Fawaz told me to not take off so fast at track entrance (I love/loved spinning my tire over the bump at track entrance and smoking it up until it grips into a wheelie, but I don't do that anymore, too unpredictable and the track organizers never like it).
Im #11 and i didnt feel he was dangerous, i got off because i cant catch a 1000 on a straight, and i would be stuck behind him in the corners and when i did get a chance he would give it in the straights, i understand power wheelies but not all the time.
Thanks man

Your bike is pretty and you ride just as nice. Always feel free to show me a wheel under braking and I'll for sure let you by on the next straight

Hopefully you pass me next time so I can learn a line or two before you disappear

yellow duck, i catch up to you around 6:50
wall pass was around 7:55
Looks like a great pass! I don't mind close, as long as they ain't close in/near the corners
