Pledge works just fine with a micro fiber cloth. Do not use paper towels as they will scratch your visor over time.
Pledge the front of your bike before a ride to keep the bugs off and also your helmet, inside the visor and out to prevent fogging and bugs from sticking.
It even cleans your dirty greasy rims with just one wipe.
Try it on grease. Be careful you do not spray on your tires.
Exactly!! And I have this thing about my rims being clean, far more than the rest of the bike...:-?
In fact I just keep my side cases on and always have a can of HDX polish, Seafoam, and Dupont chain saver and a some clean cloths with me.
Used dryer sheats are great for cleaning up your rims or any greasy parts near the chain. A board memeber posted about using them years ago on thread like this one.
this forum is all about lemony fresh Pledge and Seafoam.
use both on everything!
Pledge is fine for plastics. But i wouldn't use it on leather.Leather is skin, and best treated with something more natural like Fiebings Aussie leather care.John Bickle told me this.Never put anything on your leathers that you wouldn't put on your own skin.
Tandy Leather Factory.http://www.tandyleatherfactory.ca/en-cad/home/2199-00.aspxWell if John said it that's good enough for me, anywhere to get it locally?
Works great.
I use that stuff, too. Well... I got the heavy duty stuff which really made everything waterproof but leaves a very waxy/sticky layer if you put too much on. Used some on my regular (non-riding) leather jacket and when I moved the arms it would squeak because the arms would stick to the torso part. It was bad enough my gf refused to let me use it on her leather jacket even though it really needs some conditioning. The thinner stuff might be nicer.Pledge is fine for plastics. But i wouldn't use it on leather.Leather is skin, and best treated with something more natural like Fiebings Aussie leather care.John Bickle told me this.Never put anything on your leathers that you wouldn't put on your own skin.
