mesh jackets - need a new one

well i gave my joe rocket one away to a buddy who just started riding and needed one... i only wore it a couple times.. ill take the karma points.
ive been wearing my textile ones with the vents cracked, half zipped, liners out.... still...not good enough.

ive been eying the Icon Hooligan street jersey ( http://gpbikes.com/street/jackets/mesh/icon-hooligan-riding-jersey-jacket.html )
anyone have this jacket? or have any other recommendations?

i was one mouse click away from ordering it but also couldnt decide if i want the grey black or red white grey one. ive got a red and white cbr.
i dont want one with a all white back.. i wore my white textile jacket once and its got road tar on the back...road grime has got to blend in lol
 
Take a look at the Alpinestars TGP plus air mesh jacket. I have the White-red one. Its about the best you are going to get in hot weather and wear protection. I ordered the CE approved back insert separately.
 
I ended up buying a Velocity one from Jimmy on one of the group buys. Very happy with it so far.

i think i looked at that actually.
but no removable liner? ide love one that has a removable liner in it.

too big.
i wear a Large for icon and Speed and Strength or XL in alpine stars... i couldnt even zip up the large.

does his have the Zip off sleeves? it may be the hooligan 2 that hes got.

I just checked. The sleeves don't zip off but it is a hooligan.
 
ya i like the decay as well.
the one i posted the link to with the zip off sleeves doesnt have a liner, thats the 1 drawback to it.

i know speed and strength has some nice ones now..the joe rocket ones all seem to be sport touring as their target market.

I just picked up a Teknic Mercury perforated leather. It's so light and fits perfect, I.am.in.love.

I was looking at one yesterday... bit ide like a removable liner. Its cold at 5am and hot when I ride home from work.
and.. it was $220...im looking for cheapish unless it has all the features and looks I want.

If you're stuck in traffic, you'll appreciate a light-colored jacket. At speed, any color is nice and cool.

I have a perforated Icon leather jacket. With the liner removed I still roast in traffic on those 30C days. It is black though...

My dainese is black and I love it. Sucks a little when it's really hot and I'm stopped at a light but both arms are vented and both sides are as well. I absolutely love it.
