I hated this style when it was cutting edge in 1979.

Looks cool and interesting but I'd rather buy a used 919 for half the price.
I love the look and the idea. The knee-bend is pretty tight for such a relaxed machine (almost the same as my old Ninja), which is worrisome. If if fits, sign me up, with 4 into 4 pipes! Not a cruiser, not a sportbike, not authentic enough? Don't care. Foolish ergonomics? Go drink warm piss, Honda. No aftermarket pegs, bars or seats, nothing. Got it?
People ignored the 919 (and may other nakeds) off the NA market for similar reasons, so it's likely the CB1100 will join them and become a cult bike in turn. I only need one though...

It's cool, but If I wanted a bike without doinh anything to it and keeping it stock, this would be the bike. lol
Interesting. I'm not in the market, but there's something about that bike I like, and was wondering what the consenus would be like on this forum. (I have a pic of my '82 CB750 right in front of me - it has the exact same chrome fr fender, and a few more similarities - not the tank though) Haven't seen the hp/torque numbers yet (nor have I looked). I hope the hauler loads one on for demo days.

For some reason, when I first saw it, 1979 stuck out in my head, as thats what it reminded me of the most, but according to the big H, its patterned after the 69 CB750.
Honda has all the demo dates in a calendar for next year, dewildt April 26, milton, Apr 27, Sturgess May 24, and on and on.

Although the show was good and all, no single model jumped out at me. CBR600RR was nice, but too small for my frame, the VFR1200 is ok, nothing ground breaking in the Bimmer camp, suzuki/yammie *yawn*.Looks like my bike will be getting another coat of wax and prepped for the next season.
I can see that. It is closer in style to the 79 with dual cam motor, tank shape and 5 spoke wheels.

I was told by one dealer at the show today that Honda in importing only 100 to Canada this year ( another vendor said 75) Either way, if you want one better get it quick...and no wiggle room on price (13,199+ PDI)

I sat on the Moto Guzzi V7 at the show and it felt nice and light with the COG down low...quality did not seem up to big reds standards. Nice bike though.

+1, i sat on the V7 at the show as well, i would get this over the honda at this price
