Crazy impulsive move today..

No, not a crazy road rage story...I traded my 03 VFR in for an 06 Vulcan 900 Claasic. Went from sports touring to cruising! I figure life is short and there's plenty of riding left this season to try out a new style. I've been thinking of making this move for a while and saw a bike I liked, in my price range. Will be nice to enjoy the fall colours on. I rode the VFR to London on Saturday, combination of back roads and 401 and I came to realize while I enjoy putting the miles on - open road, two wheels and all - there just arent enough twisties locally to enjoy the sporty side of the viffer. And my legs cramp up on the highway!

If it doesn't work out I can always trade it in next season for something else!

Nice! Alot of guys will swap over. But hey, there's also nothing wrong with owning 2 types of bikes. You could always go track. :p

you don't need to justify your decision. Variety is the spice of life. Enjoy your new ride.

x2. Enjoy the new ride.

...though I hear many people who give up their VFR's regret it later on. :p

Report back your findings on the new ride vs the old ride

Only if it's in lime green.

Congrats of the new bike. Vulcan 900 is a great bike (but I'm kinda biased, ha ha). Enjoy!

Picked her up today, rode home from GP Bikes to Ajax. Haven't been on the highway yet but will tomorrow. It is everything I expected. Laid back relaxed cruiser. It's very different form the viffer and I am getting used to a lot of things but I expected all this. I rode a friends big Harley CVO this summer and the experience set me up for this. Am very happy - love it! Wife didn't jump on the back of the VFR in the two years I had it but she came for a ride this evening on the first day of the Vulcan. Looking forward to more two up riding.

I love my Vulcan. Its a great bike for city driving as well as touring. Its never dissapointed me power wise.

Looking forward to more two up riding.

Congratulations! A friend of mine is planning on buying a Vulcan 900 next season.

I recently upgraded from a CBR125 to a Ninja 250. I took my daughter (14) for a ride on the Ninja. She said she was comfortable. She enjoyed the ride. But me being me, and a Mom, I feel she would be more comfortable on the back of a cruiser. I look forward also to more two up riding with my daughter.

Congratulations on your new ride! I've had my eye on the Vulcan 900 (Like Skitta mentioned), so any encouragement would be really appreciated. Don't want to hijack this thread, though.
