My wife called me last night while I was out getting groceries. One of my Neighbors backed up into my bike and knocked it over.
Damage didn't look too bad, mostly just the plastics and and a couple of other parts. My neighbor was very appologetic and offered to pay for everything without going through insurance.
I wasn't able to get a good look at the damage in the dark, but figured it would likely cost around a grand to replace the damaged parts. So I went to the dealer this morning and got an estimate. almost exactly $3000 (including 4 hours labor) to fix, and that doens't include the bearings which I've got to get checked to see if they're damaged.
I have a feeling my neighbor isn't going to be so keen about not going through insurance now.
