Pictures of parked cars

As I enter my 7th season, and continue to cultivate a healthy mistrust of all things on 4 wheels in the city of Toronto, I find myself taking pictures of the license plates of parked cars that could potentially hit me as they leave. I know this is a bit paranoid, but it would be nice to have some sort of lead should I ever return to a capsized bike. Anyone else do this or anything else on the cautious side to try to fend off evil cagers?

Thats what insurance is for, would go nuts if i was worrying about my bike all the time.

I dont trust insurance.

And you shouldnt.

Ive known people with video evidence of their car being dented/hit by another car.
Insurance wasnt giving 100% fault to the other party...ugh... He had to fight for it for the longest time.

I dont trust insurance.

Hang on...you park your motorcycle near a car that could potentially hit your bike while parked....and you take a picture of the parked car?

Why wouldn't you just park in a safer spot?

When was the last time you parked in the GTA? There often ISN'T another option. Not one where you won't get asked to pay a fine from a blown off parking ticket from god knows when when you go for your registration renewal.

Taking pictures, good idea, I usually distribute a contract on all the nearby cars windshield requiring them to not hit my bike.

tear one of these apart, carry it on a small trailer, and put it together with zip ties everytime you park

well since noone else said it, lets see some of these cagers pictures then!

How do you know if that's the car that hit your bike? Cars move around constantly.. Man, you need to worry about something bigger..

He doesn't trust safer spots, either. LOL!

So, when your bike gets hit, your gonna attempt to track these people down and hope one of them decides to feel guilty ? lol. People with exotic cars worth 100 of your bike don't even do this.

Exactly. With no witnesses, how would you be able to prove the car hit your bike

What a complete waste of time
