Good question, I have no idea the article was not in english....I just liked the red calipers

It's pretty effin cool but I doubt too many people buying a zx10r are big fitipaldi fans, now if my dad was in the market for a superbike he would probably be all over this.

Maybe we'll see a schumacher 1199.. tho they wouldn't have to change the current paint scheme much for that.

The Kawasaki Fittipaldi World Edition unify two of world's icons: the brand Fittipaldi with Kawasaki Nija ZX-10R, the model flagship the Kawasaki brand in the world.

The Kawasaki Fittipaldi World Edition was created by Emerson Fittipaldi and his team from Fittipaldi Kawasaki. Inspired on the legendary Lotus 72 John Player Special, which Fittipaldi won the Brazilian's first F1 world championship, the special edition keeps the same technical specifications of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R original with special black paint, gold strips and custom accessories.

It took over 3 months to finalize this project which looked foward to transform the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, considered one of the fastest motorcycle in the world, in a unique object for collectors and motorcycle's lovers.

The motorcycle will be officially lunched at Salao Duas Rodas (one of the biggest motorcycle show in Sao Paulo), it will take place on days 4 to 9 of october in Anhembi (Sao Paulo).

My opinion:

This is just another way for the old Fittildi to appear on the news again, his son is not as good as him so media is the only thing they are good for at the moment.
The bikes is nothing more than what a lot of tuning shops are doing for a long time (but Fittilpadi is using his name to make it bigger).
We don't need to go too far to see better work than that and less media talking about it, take the zx14 builted by stuntinc (
http://www.google.ca/imgres?q=johnn...tart=0&ndsp=13&ved=1t:429,r:2,s:0&tx=35&ty=51) or even the awesomw 636 (http://www.stuntride.com/vbstunt/showthread.php?t=7572&page=38), well name is everything (special if you were a F1 world champion one time.).

My point is: stock zx-10r with custom paint job and aftermarket accessories is for sale every year (limited or special edition) the difference is that now Kawasaki is selling it for anyone that has money to pay for special or limited edition to be his/hers special or limited edition.
Search and you have Ducati Senna.lol What is next "special edition cbr 125 Justin Bieber"?!!!Oh God I want one so bad.

Fittipaldi has a Kawi dealership in Brazil and they came up with this new edition. I think the colours are pretty cool. The price is probably high, but then again almost anything imported into Brazil has a crazy price anyway. Fittipaldi use to (and still might) own car dealerships in the US and farms in Brazil... so he has all sorts of business ventures.

The Senna edition Ducati and MV bikes not only look cool, but they support the Senna foundation, which is a really neat program.

BTW - I Love the JPS paint scheme on that 10R.... kinda 70s-80s, but very cool.

Its based off his race cars paint scheme

That brings back memories. As a child in the UK I had a ~8" replica of the John Player Special.
