OP Can you let us know if anything comes of this? This is extremely dangerous and some people need to be taken off the roads.
Glad you came out ok. Just curious, can someone get charged for hit and run if there no other witnesses around or proof of evidence such a video etc. I the end isn't it just your word against his?
If you require proof. Then maybe you can a caption from the traffic cameras aloing the DVP. I'm not sure how you go about getting it though.

Oh now. Riding in Toronto only helps to toughen you up, everywhere else will be like a picnic in comparison.
Glad you are okay OP. That could have ended really badly.
Last year, I was once caught in that situation on Lakeshore. I was in the fast lane with a minivan beside me and a car ahead of me. The fast lane was moving a little faster than the middle, but my front wheel was about even with the minivan's back wheel. Then all of a sudden a ricer in his Civic goes right up behind me. I keep looking back. But this guy seems to think it's a challage to see how close he could get to my rear tire (keep in mind there was no shoulder). I tried to move up, but the ricer kept coming. So I lane splitted (a little) and shot out like a bat out of hell into the middle lane... right into a speed trap! FML...
The cop didn't want to hear my excuse and the ricer got away. I tried fighting the ticket, but lost. Yeah, I got points and I'm a few hundred dollars lighter... But at the end of the day, I escaped it unhurt.

In all my years of riding I've never experienced this degree of MORONIC driving behavier.
Yesterday afternoon I was riding up the DVP at around 4:30. As I'm passing Lawrence where traffic begins to speed up suddenly I feel my bike jerk forward, my back wheel become lighter, and lock up. I felt my bike acting in a way that can be compared to 'speed-wobble'. I glanse in my rear view and notice I've just been struck from behind by a cager. He couldn't have hit me at more than 5km/h quicker than my speed (which was still 90-100km/h). This was all happening within a second but felt much longer. I quickly regained my balance on the motorcycle and sped up since Mr. Dumbass Cager was still literally grinding the rubber off my wheel. Thankfully I have my skills on a track to thank for acting calm and recovering quickly without going down.
I memorized his plate and when he eventually pulled up beside me I asked him if he would pull over. He mumbled something and continued to drive. Not sure if anything was damaged, I got off at the next exit and pulled into the nearest parking lot. Upon inspection the bike (and me) everything seemed ok ...minus the rubber (or lack there of) on my back wheel and a bent license plate.
Later on a filed a claim for Hit and Run. Hopefully that F--ker will get what's coming to him.
PS - I'm honestly considering leaving the riding for the track and ditching my street bike. The more I look around at all those drivers who seem so preoccupied with their daily lives that they can't show little regard for those around them, the more I realize that riding in Toronto is a death wish.

Update!
I got a call from my insurance company (Jevco) and the agent on the phone said that because of the system he's using, its nearly impossible to trace the Quebec license plate. The claim has since been closed and wont reflect on my insurance.
That's pretty silly IMHO. I'm going to go to the collision centre and see if the police made any headway on the situation. I don't see how someone can get away from a hit-and-run charge because they're from another province..
