Still in the Game Rides!!

With much consideration and some collaboration here is the plan...
Riding to Huntsville in the rain would defeat the "little bit wiser" argument so that route is back in the vault.
We are going to to a shorter route that in the event the rains come heavier than expected we are not 250k from home.
Meet time will be at 8:30 at Famous Sams N/E corner of Woodbine and Stouffville Rd. with a stand up time of 9:00 as this is a shorter run.
We will be heading out to Port Hope and should be back at about 3pm with a stop for lunch.
I know Muskoka/Huntsville is a much nicer ride I think it is best to wait for an equally nice day to truly enjoy it. This is a very nice little route and I am sure you will enjoy it too.
P.S. I am doing the Huntsville ride on Sunday when the weather is to be nice so please feel free to PM me for details if you would like to join in.

this reminds me of a day when i was a pre-teen (maybe 9 or 10) and i found a cassette tape on the side walk which was in bad shape. i rewound it and listened to it, because my parents had no money to buy me any tapes, and i was 9. it turned out to be Def Leopard. So does that make me old enough to be a part of this Wolf Pack? hahaha.

Wish I had seen this post earlier now crawling out of my bed, but when ever u guys are heading out again let me know and I am game, no rain suit free Saturday evening up to now, wife and weather permitting lol

I have to say thanks to the above posts for pushing this one out the door despite the rain because I ended up loving that ride and I had a blast.
It was a pleasure meeting you guys and all the others who came out. Great start to the "Still In The Game" rides, good ride, good food, and good laughs. Now if we can only get good weather...

Glad you guys had fun, We had rain and even 5 minutes of hail here in Mississauga until mid afternoon. Dave, did you get my PM?

great ride!

still in the game .... still waiting for things to dry ...

until the next one --- now going out to get me a rain suit --- seems more cost effective to buy one rain suit once then stopping to buy new dry clothing throughout the ride ...

until the next one.
 
Good to see you guys had fun... by the time I arrived home, one of my waterproof boots started leaking and my waterproof gloves were soaked :) A bit surprising as I usually have no problems in rain, but this one was hard core :)
 
yeah, too bad you guys didn't stay.. there's always a next, hopefully with more sun :)

Damn. :rolleyes: I think that every time I go to Burrito Boyz meets and look around at the other riders *sigh* I hate when that happens.... So I guess I'll be keeping my eye on this thread. :laughing8:
 
40+ here to. Looking forward to joining the next ride. Where was spring?
