Insurance Quote: Just want to share

Well, my Statefarm insurance went up by 130 bucks a month when I moved from one section of Brampton to another so and its going up again. I started to shop around.
Record:

G Class since 2005.
- 2 minor tickets in last 3 years.
- No claims
- No accidents
M2 Class Since 2010 Aug

Vehicles:
2007 Subaru Legacy GT
2009 SV650 S

Car: 284.00 A month (Desjardens) ***** NO COLLISION***** Only comp.
Bike: 188 A month. (John Duffy) ****Full****

What do you all think?

Age: 23, turning 24 in July.

You didn't say how old you are, but it shouldn't go up by $1560/year no matter what. Call a few insurance brokers and compare. I would also consider reducing the coverage to theft&fire only and/or increasing the deductible. In the last ten years I never paid more than about $1000/year for bike insurance. I started at 40+ with a 550cc bike and no insurance history in Canada and am now paying $700/year (which is also a ripoff, but that's for a different thread). I call a couple of brokers every year when my insurance comes up for renewal, just to make sure the insurance company I'm with is giving me a competitive price. It saved me $300/year last time, not so much because of the insurance company but mecause of the knowledgeable broker that realized my bike is in the 1,000cc category, not 1,200cc, because it actually has 1157cc even though it's called a 1200.
 
No such thing as a minor ticket. Either you have a moving violation or not. It could have been 40km/h over the speed limit or 5km/h over the speed limit. An infraction is still an infraction and two usually does it. One is not so bad.

There actually IS a such thing as a minor convicion. There are three levels of conviction: Minor, Major, Serious/Criminal. Most tickets (including speeding) are minor if they are 49kph or under. Most minor convictions result in a surcharge of about 10%. Major convictions (eg. Careless) usually result in a 25% to 50% surcharge, and Serious/Criminal convictions (eg. DUI) usually result in a 50% to 100% surcharge.

Did he/she earn it themselves, or was it gifted to them? I understand it's an expensive car, but the Panamera (along with the Cayenne) are abominations of the Porche brand IMO.
 
You are not bad with the car, I'm paying $250/month for a Toyota Rav-4 (1997) third-party only and I have had a G licence since 1989, that's 22 years. No accidents and 1 ticket in 2009.
