Hi, im looking to get a dirt bike and i am debating over the yz250f and the wr250f, i have some dirt biking expreince and have road experience also. I will be using it mainly for trail riding and sometimes hitting the jumps. im looking for used 2006+ models with the aluminum frame. i no that both models are quite similar with the wr having a wider gear ratio tranny. how is the yz on trails compared to the wr. which one would you recomend?

I ride a YZ250F. I race motocross for 95% of my off-road riding.
No problems with it in the trails.
A lot of the racers in the enduro racing are now taking the MX bikes and modifying them (proper suspension set ups, bike armour etc) for hardcore trail riding.
Depending on how agressive you want to get with jumping, you might not want the softer WR suspension.
On my race bike this year I've blown two fork seals and just blew out my rear shock, so a WR suspension wouldn't last very long under me... Plus I'm in need of proper springs and valving, hopefully a christmas present to my bike.
