Your Motorcycle Mirrors

A little off topic but I'm thinking about taking mine completely off. I know legally, you're obligated to have at least one mirror. But is there a limit to how small it can be?

Your not kidding Rocker Guy, Ducati mirrors, what mirrors. Always, always do head checks regardless your mirrors as advised above.
They paid good $ for the bike but can't put a decent mirror

Sport bikes have small mirrors because they want to eliminate aerodynamic drag.

I replaced my Yamaha ones with OEM Suzuki ones. They had longer arms. Better for regular riding, I could see more behind me. The stock ones were fine when in full tuck, but I don't ride that way most of the time.

yep always shoulder check.

AFAIK, it only states that there has to be a rear view mirror.

What about those Convex mirror pod things?

If you can, add weight to the stalk end or the back of the mirror glass to dampen the harmonic (tape a wheel balance weight just to try).
Sometimes after market non-OEM mirrors look identical, but are thinner and lighter and vibrate more.
But, the 650R does have most parts rubber mounted for a reason.

That's a great idea. I'm going to try experimenting with that...
