You Won't Be Seeing This Suzuki Sport Tourer In Canada

The "small bike" shortage in Ontario is in the 300 to 500cc standard range.

There is no size restriction for inexperienced riders here so there's not incentive for the manufacturers to bring them over. These light middleweights would cost too close to 600s so buyers will automatically buy the larger bike.

i kinda wish we'd see some more high strung 250 and 400 supersports that they used to make like the CBR250RR and CBR400RR

okay can you name me one motorcycle in Canada that's 600cc or 650cc exactly like the bike in my original thread pic?

you're right peggy, there aren't many 600-650 bikes like the one you posted.

True enough. Still, insurance rates could be a purchase motivator even in absence of government-imposed size restrictions.

The problem with insurance rates is that going cheap isn't really that much cheaper. For me switching from a 650 to a 50cc scooter would only save me $300 a year. Insurance rate alone isn't a great motivator. Maybe the rate difference is more for less experienced (younger) riders.

BINGO!!!

And with the fact that Nth Americans think "Bigger is better"

Seemed to be lots of interest at the show! Dealers knew lots about the bike... maybe Peggy was in a fog this past weekend.

The sv650? I don't want recycled hogwash, I want more selection, okay can you name me one motorcycle in Canada that's 600cc or 650cc exactly like the bike in my original thread pic? No you can't, that's what I'm complaining about, we have no such bike here in Canada.... unless you want to screw around with overpriced lemon bike companies like Ducati and Aprilia.

Would you really buy a new bike Peggy?

i swear i saw the gw250 at the moto show on friday at the suzuki booth or if someone can correct me
