Generally I think it looks good. I like that they put the regulator front and centre on the other side instead of trying to hide it somewhere. Something seems a bit funky with the dimensions though....

I want to like it (and at first I did) but then you start noticing things like the wheels/exhaust/tail that don't belong on a retro bike and it looses appeal.

It's a platform. Third party will sell you a gazillion bits to fit on this bike. Similar to the R9T concept, but much more attainable.

I agree with the wheels. They should have been made to look more retro. The rest who cares? Exhaust and tail are usually the first thing people change anyways. Looks interesting. Can't say I love it but I definitely like it. It would still sit 2nd to the bolt though.

What's wrong with a bolt. In terms.of visual appeal it's nicer than this to me. It feels comfy and I would definitely have one. It's called opinions and we all have them.

I don't see anything retro about this bike, more like a reintroduction of the UJM. I love it and I hope it becomes a new trend.

Yamaha is on a hell of a run. I want one of every new bike they've come up with since the FZ-09.

Reminds me of my RD400 ....first with cast wheels.

It's great to look at, but it dumps massive amounts of heat in your crotch and the "suspension" is just for aesthetics.

The XRS700 is Europe-only.

The TLR1000 is a real cooker with questionable suspension. Doesn't stop people from coveting one.

The XRS700 really lacks visual unity, IMO. It looks like a collection of parts in the shape of a motorcycle, at least in the photos. I am grateful for the round headlight though.

It's a quick and fast ripoff of the Scrambler, because Yamaha is nervous they will miss this fad.

That video is hilarious, every possible fake bike builder cliche in one easy video. The only thing missing is the angle grinding to look legit.

Reminds me of this, "The Art of the Bike".

While I can't comment on the merketing style. I think the bike looks pretty good and will appeal to a pretty large audience. They way I see it, anything that gets people interested in motorcycle is a good thing.
